Tournament Results (NEWCA 4 & 5)

The Neenah varsity Red chess team is the 2015 NEWCA conference champion.  Although this is Neenah's sixth straight conference championship, none of the players were on last year's championship team, and only two had ever played on the Red team before.

After winning all three matches in Green Bay on February 14th, Neenah was in first place and in control of their season.  Entering play on Saturday, February 28th, three other teams could still dream of first place and all three stood between Red and a conference championship.  After stumbling in the second round with a loss to Green Bay Catholic, Red secured the season by defeating Marion in the third round.   The 2015 champions finished the season on a high note with a win against Waupaca, who fell to third place behind Green Bay Catholic with the loss.

Neenah's varsity white team won two matches on Saturday, finishing the season in seventh place.  Neenah's Junior Varsity finished the season in fourth place behind Waupaca, Nekoosa, and Big Falls.
